Hey folks! Happy 2011!
Welcome back to AudioSuede! Hope you didn’t miss us too much in the holiday downtime. We needed a break to regroup and get ready for what we’ve got in the coming weeks. And if this week is any indication, we’ve got a hell of a schedule coming up!
Every day this week, our writers will be highlighting the Albums of 2010. Starting with Chris Bosman’s excellent examination of Kanye West’s “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” today, each writer will tackle an album they think is worthy of being called one of the year’s best, providing in-depth insight not only into the album’s merits and music but into its context within the year that was.
Then, next week, we’ll be running the full Best Of lists of all the writers, as well as a playlist showcasing the best songs that 2010 had to offer. To see all the action and accolades, click the “Best of 2010″ tab at the top of the screen or check back in this post for a daily update of what’s going on around the site.
And by all means, we’d love to hear you join in the discussion and tell us what you think! Tackle us in the comments section, on Facebook, or on Twitter. The end of the year is always a time for debate and retrospection. We want you to be a part of it!
Thanks so much for all of you who’ve been following us over the last year as we’ve stumbled and faltered and grown into the site you see here today. Here’s hoping for more growth (and less awkwardness) in 2011!
